"an English Speaking Board international approved school"
Established in Guernsey, Channel Islands in 1984 and known at that time as ‘Stage Struck’, the school moved to Cumbria in 1994 changing its name to Wings of Eagles Acting School in 1995 when the school became Christian based and subsequently to Wings of Eagles Performing Arts when music and dance were added.
The school's aim is to allow young people to follow their own faith in an environment that is always seeking the ‘Good’, by using secular drama and poetry as well as Christian based plays, sketches and poems, thus allowing them the freedom of choice.
Many pupils at 18 years of age have prepared auditions and gained places at leading arts schools throughout the country. Pupils who have left Wings of Eagles Performing Arts for whatever reason are invited to become ‘Eagles’, which means that they are invited to participate in any production that is undertaken. They are also invited to return and talk to current pupils about their experiences at Drama College or the outside world.
We support LAMDA and the ESB - English speaking Board, examinations.
