What Wings of Eagles Performing Arts means to me:
John M. Le Huray - Administrator

Born and educated in Guernsey, Channel Islands, John traveled the world in the Merchant Navy, emigrated to Canada for 5 years before returning to the island where he eventually met and married Wendy.
They both ran a hotel for some years before John became a Christian, John, Wendy and youngest daughter Alison moved to the UK in 1994 as their two older daughters already lived there and shortly afterwards Wendy set up 'Stage Struck' in Keswick and then Cockermouth (which she had run in Guernsey for 10 years) which was soon to become Wings of Eagles.
John Became Verger at Crosthwaite Church in Keswick and as 'Wings of Eagles' grew he became more involved in designing posters, concert programme's, writing newsletters etc. until he retired and now devotes himself almost full time to the administration of the school.
John also has many years experience on the amateur stage and often helps out the pupils with their poems and readings.
Claire Mattinson L.A.M.
Claire has been with Wings of Eagles for more than 10 years. She came as a pupil in 1996 and worked her way through all the L.A.M.D.A. and E.S.B. grades finally achieving her Gold Medal and her Advanced Certificate in Language Arts.
As well as working as a Drama and Dance coach for Wings of eagles, Claire runs her own acting school for young people called ‘Starlight’ and this has proved to be very successful in West Cumbria.
An excellent choreographer she is extremely popular with the pupils.
Emma Kurij (pronounced kewrie)
Emma is currently a student at Cumbria College of Arts in her final year reading music. She commenced work at the Carlisle branch of Wings of Eagles in 2006.
She is employed as a teaching assistant and creates some excellent singing and choral work with the pupils.
Emma will also work with the new pupils when the Langholm branch opens in 2007.
Craig Ranford
